News Update February 2011 |
Mayor of
Elmbridge attends Judo Display
|
|
On Thursday 17th February at Xcel
Leisure Complex in Walton, the Mayor
of Elmbridge together with parents
and officials from the borough
attended a display of judo by the
children of Walton Leigh School. |
|
The children have been attending the
inclusive judo club run by Adrian
Pearman of Tora-Kai School of Judo
for almost a year and this was an
opportunity for them to show their
skills and techniques. The feedback
from those attending was amazing and
it reinforced Adrian's belief that
judo should be for everyone. He will
also be working with Elmbridge to
develop an inclusive club at Walton
Oak School and, after Easter, with
Portesbury School near Camberley. |
